Privacy Policy

What data Omegomeet collects, how camera and microphone access works, payments, retention, your rights, cookies, and how to reach us about any of it.

The short version

Omegomeet is built to know as little about you as possible. You can start a random 1v1 video call without an account, we never sell your data, and you can ask us to delete what we hold at any time by writing to [email protected]. The details follow, in plain language.

What we collect

As a guest, you never give us a name or an email — there is no sign-up before your first call. Like every website, our servers keep technical logs: your IP address, device and browser type, and timestamps, which we use to run the service and stop abuse. If you create an account, we store your email, your saved preferences, and your call history so those features work. Cookies keep you logged in and remember your settings.

Your camera and microphone

Your browser asks for camera and microphone permission when a call begins, and we use that access only to carry the live call you are in. Close the tab and the access ends. Nothing about your camera or microphone is touched while you are not in a call.

Payments

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. Your full card details go to them, never to us — we only see the confirmation that a payment succeeded and the coins it bought.

Who we share data with

We don’t sell your personal data, full stop. We share the minimum necessary with the providers who keep Omegomeet running — hosting, payment processing, and moderation tooling — each bound to use it only for that purpose. We disclose data when the law genuinely requires it, for example a valid request from authorities.

How long we keep it

Technical logs are kept only as long as we need them to operate and secure the service. Account data stays while your account exists; ask us to delete it and we remove it, except where the law requires us to keep specific records.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Email [email protected] from the address on your account and tell us which you need — a person will handle it. Guest users hold no stored profile, so for most guests there is simply nothing to show.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies: the essential ones that keep you signed in and carry a call, and preference cookies that remember your settings. Your browser can block cookies, but sign-in features won’t work without the essential ones.

Age requirement

Omegomeet is strictly for adults 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect data from minors; if we learn someone under 18 has used the service, the data is deleted and the case is handled under our community guidelines.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use Omegomeet after a change means you accept the updated policy.
