Quick answers for Omegomeet: camera permission, connection problems, matching, coins, blocking and reporting, deleting your data, and using it on a phone.

The call won’t connect — what do I do?

Start with the boring fixes, because they solve most cases: refresh the page, check that your connection is stable, and close other apps or tabs that might be holding your camera. Still stuck? Try a different modern browser — Omegomeet runs entirely in the browser, and an outdated one is the most common culprit. Nothing is ever downloaded or installed, so reinstalling is never the answer.

How do I allow camera and microphone access?

Your browser asks for permission the first time a call starts. If you tapped “block” by mistake, click the lock icon in the address bar, set camera and microphone to allow, and reload the page. On a phone, the same setting lives in your browser’s site settings. We use your camera and microphone only to carry the live call — closing the tab ends that access completely.

Why am I not matching with anyone?

Matching pairs you with a real person who is online at that exact moment, so a quiet minute usually just means a quiet minute — try again in a few seconds, or at a busier time of day. And skipping quickly is normal: the whole point of random matching is that the next person costs you one tap. Busy hours differ around the world — your quiet evening is someone else’s morning, and that worldwide spread is what keeps matches coming.

What are coins?

Coins are Omegomeet’s virtual credits. Your first matches are free — that is the free-to-start part — and longer sessions may use coins. Every price is displayed before you spend anything, and coins can’t be exchanged back into money. The full rules live in the terms of service, and payment problems go to support.

How do I block or report someone?

Every call has skip, block and report built in — one tap, no explanation needed. Skipping ends the call; blocking keeps that person away from you; reporting sends the case to our 24/7 human moderation team. What counts as crossing the line is spelled out in the community guidelines.

How do I delete my account or my data?

If you chat as a guest, there is no account to delete — you never created one. Registered users can ask for account and data deletion at any time by emailing [email protected] from the address on the account. What we keep, and for how long, is laid out in the privacy policy.

Does Omegomeet work on my phone?

Yes — the whole experience is built mobile-first. Open omegomeet.com in your phone’s browser and everything works with your thumbs: matching, video, and the call controls. You can add the site to your home screen so it opens like an app, but nothing ever comes from an app store.
